Wisteria floribunda
(Japanese Wisteria)![]() Its original Japanese name is Fuji or Noda Fuji. It was imported into Europe in 1830. The leaves are composed of 11/19 leaflets and it can reach up to 20 meters high. The branches twist in a clockwise sense. Violet/blue or violet/pink with hull mallow flowers, sweetly scented. Long, clustered bunches 30/50 cm in length, slightly less than that of the W. sinensis. It begins to bloom during the 3rd or 4th year. |
